Dr. Jane Weston was born and raised in New York, where she developed a passion for music and studied the harp during her youth. She attended New York University, majoring in theater and music. During her junior year, she studied abroad in London, an experience that inspired her to pursue a career using theater as a therapeutic tool for children. However, she later shifted her focus to science and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1975. Dr. Weston went on to earn her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1979 and completed a six-year residency in Plastic Surgery at Stanford. To further refine her skills, she completed a prestigious fellowship in Craniofacial and Aesthetic Surgery in Paris, France, under the renowned Dr. Daniel Marchac.

From 1985 to 1990, Dr. Weston served as a plastic surgeon with the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group in Santa Teresa. In 1990, she joined a private practice in Palo Alto alongside one of her mentors. By 2001, she established her own practice in Menlo Park, where she continues to deliver exceptional care to her patients.

Dr. Weston is married to Dr. Jan Horn, a General Surgeon and ICU Specialist at the San Francisco VA Hospital and Professor Emeritus of Surgery at UCSF. They reside in Emerald Hills with their beloved mini-labradoodle, Dixie, and enjoy spending time with their grown children.

Before starting her family, Dr. Jane Weston dedicated many years to Interplast, serving both as a volunteer surgeon and in key leadership roles. She was a member of the Board of Directors and held the position of Associate Director, where she coordinated surgical outreach efforts, particularly in Brazil during her final years with the organization.

Dr. Weston has also played an influential role in the leadership of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). She co-founded the Women Plastic Surgeons Committee and served as its first chair, advocating for greater representation and support for women in the field. Additionally, she has chaired the Ethics Committee, the Judicial Council, and the Marketing Committee, contributing to the organization's continued growth and ethical standards. Her leadership extended to the ASPS Board of Directors, where she further shaped the future of the society.

At the state level, Dr. Weston has been actively involved with the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, serving on the Board of Directors and leading the Public Education Committee to enhance public awareness of plastic surgery.
