Over 800 people recently gathered at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown San Jose to recognize “Women of Influence” in the Silicon Valley. Honorees included CEOs of exciting tech startups, leaders in litigation, and pioneers in healthcare. Aesthetx is excited to announce that Dr. Zeidler was recognized for her contributions to plastic surgery and for helping shape the future of the field.
What is the Women of Influence Event?
Each year, the Silicon Valley Business Journal holds an event to recognize winners of their Women of Influence awards. Nominees are considered from the public and private sectors as well as non-profit organizations.
They are evaluated based on their influence in their respective fields and communities. Winners of this prestigious title are celebrated at an honoree dinner, where they often share what inspires them and what steps they took to achieve their accomplishments.
Hear What Dr. Zeidler Had to Say About her Professional Journey
Dr. Zeidler sat down with the Silicon Valley Business Journal to shed some light on her path to success and what she has in store for the future.
Dr. Zeidler shared that her first job was a “fun specialist” at a golf course, but she was quickly promoted to assistant manager of the golf course while she prepared for college. During that time, she developed the rock-solid work ethic that she continues to uphold throughout her professional career. One of the most valuable things she learned from her first job was “basic leadership skills and how important it is to create a shared vision for my team. It also taught me how important it is to find out exactly what motivates each team member.”
As co-founder of Aesthetx – a practice that blends both dermatology and plastic surgery – this unique skillset was instrumental in finding and cultivating a powerhouse team to carry out her vision. The various elements of Aesthetx’s practice all function seamlessly together thanks to the great relationship that Dr. Zeidler and her partners have formed with one another.
In addition to helping manage a busy cosmetic practice, Dr. Zeidler’s passion for advancing the fieldsets her apart as a leader. She stated that a passion of hers is “establishing multiple partnerships with leading businesses in the aesthetic space to drive new technology, including clinical research on new breast implants, as well as expanding my role as a strategic medical advisor.”
She currently serves on the board of directors for Cancer CAREpoint, which is a non-profit organization in the Silicon Valley that provides resources and education to cancer patients. She is also a clinical investigator for some of the leading companies in the cosmetic space, including Allergan and Sientra.
Dr. Zeidler feels honored to have been chosen as a winner for this year’s Women of Influence event, and she looks forward to driving further advancements in the field of aesthetic medicine.
