Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits from specific areas of the body to improve contours and enhance overall body shape.
How Liposuction Works
Your liposuction procedure will be performed under the highest standards of care. Conducted as an outpatient surgery, it will take place in our fully accredited surgical facility, where you will be under the care of a board-certified anesthesiologist. Depending on your needs, general anesthesia or epidural anesthesia will be used to ensure your comfort. The procedure begins with small, inconspicuous incisions, known as "poke holes," made in the target area to allow access for the suction devices. Our surgeons utilize the tumescent liposuction technique, where a saline solution infused with medications is injected into the treatment area. This solution not only prepares the fat for removal but also minimizes bleeding and delivers a dose of pain relief for a smoother recovery. A small tube called a cannula is then inserted through the incisions and carefully maneuvered in a controlled pattern to remove the unwanted fat.
