Natural & Synthetic Fillers for Optimal Skin Health

Aesthetx offers a repertoire of dermal fillers that have demonstrated efficacy and safety. Many of the dermal fillers we use contain substances that are found inside the body naturally, while others contain synthetic ingredients to mimic natural substances or to stimulate the skin’s natural production of collagen. Aesthetx uses a unique protocol for administering our dermal fillers: each procedure is treated as a sterile implant procedure, with stringent protocols for antiseptic application. With this, Aesthetx guarantees a level of care and safety that’s not seen in other practices.

What is the difference between Juvéderm® and Restylane®?

Restylane® and Juvéderm® are FDA-approved dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid gels. Juvéderm® comes as a smooth gel, while Restylane® is slightly granular. These differences can impact where your San Jose practitioner decides to use facial fillers. Restylane® typically lasts from six to nine months, while Juvéderm®’s effects can last nine months to a year.

What is the difference between a dermal filler and BOTOX®?

Both involve injections, but BOTOX® relaxes muscle movement that creates dynamic wrinkles. Dermal fillers restore lost volume to smooth over static (stationary) wrinkles. We often combine these treatments to deliver optimal facial improvement.

Where can I get lip fillers in San Jose?

The popularity of lip fillers, aided by Instagram selfies, has led many day spas to begin offering this treatment. Are dermal filler injections painful?

Many individuals find our dermal filler injections highly tolerable with minimal discomfort. Many of the formulations include lidocaine, a local anesthetic. Additionally, your injector will be highly trained to ensure safe and effective treatments for our patients.
